Coming Soon: Oklahoma’s First State Forest
We’re helping the Oklahoma Department of Agriculture, Food and Forestry create the Sooner State’s first state forest. We recently acquired 11,332 acres of working forestland near the Ouachita National Forest and within driving distance of Oklahoma City that is poised to provide new recreational access and local outdoor economic activities in the region.

New Georgia Park is Sure to Rock
A historic, 28-acre property in central Georgia will become a new county park and rock-climbing destination following its recent protection by the Fund and our partners. Formerly owned by stone mason and one of Georgia’s first Black legislators, Jacob Hutchings, the site known as Jake’s Woods is filled with giant boulders perfect for rock-climbing enthusiasts of all skill levels.

The Women Who Tell Our Conservation Stories
The Conservation Fund strives to include and amplify women’s voices in conservation — those of our staff, partners and community leaders. We recently recognized four women who are telling, as well as helping to shape, the stories of their tribal homelands, Black historical sites, the power of sustainably growing healthy food, and the benefits of protecting land across our country.
