A New Chapter for an Underserved Community in California

In one of the San Francisco Bay Area’s most disadvantaged communities, we are working with the City of Richmond and Pogo Park to create safer spaces for children to play and community members to recreate and gather. We recently helped expand Harbour-8 Park by 50 percent, creating additional green space and advancing efforts to engage residents in job training and workforce development.

The COVID-19 pandemic magnified the importance of local food access, as it’s exposed weaknesses in the agricultural supply chain.
