A Time for Gratitude
During this season of reflection, we want you to know how thankful we are for you—our supporters and partners—for helping us continue to advance critical conservation work across the country, especially throughout this challenging year. Thanks to you, we can continue to protect important places that matter for communities, wildlife and our climate.
A New Chapter for an Underserved Community in California
In one of the San Francisco Bay Area’s most disadvantaged communities, we are working with the City of Richmond and Pogo Park to create safer spaces for children to play and community members to recreate and gather. We recently helped expand Harbour-8 Park by 50 percent, creating additional green space and advancing efforts to engage residents in job training and workforce development.
Join the Discussion: Taking Action for America’s Local Food
The COVID-19 pandemic magnified the importance of local food access, as it’s exposed weaknesses in the agricultural supply chain. Our innovative Working Farms Fund is partnering with farmers to fix that by strengthening and developing local agriculture. On November 18, we’re hosting an online webinar with farmers and agricultural experts to discuss how we can create a healthier, more equitable and resilient food system for the future. Join the conversation!
